Eat better.

This is the number one reason people look better, and while you may not have to eat the same amount of calories as the rest of us, if youre not eating the same foods youre losing weight.

When you eat better, youre burning more calories, and when youre eating less, you are burning less.

“When I started my weight loss journey I ate almost the same calories as most of my friends,” says Karyn, a 28-year-old fitness instructor and bodybuilder from Brooklyn, New York.

“I tried to go to a lot of fancy restaurants, and I had to get to the gym twice a day to stay on track.

I was in the gym about 4-5 times a week, but it was just not enough.”

2.

Get out of the house and into the gym.

A recent study found that exercise was associated with a 25 percent lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

3.

Eat more veggies.

“Being able to have enough vegetables around my house and to be able to go outside and enjoy them is super important,” says Lauren, a fitness trainer from Philadelphia.

“Especially when I started training for the marathon I was going to have to go out of town a lot.

I would have to do a lot more cardio and I would be eating out a lot less.”

4.

Cut out sugar.

“You know when you take out all the candy and chocolate and you have more healthy foods around you, and then you go to the store and you’re like, ‘Oh, I have to buy this,'” says Kasha, a 30-year old yoga instructor from New Jersey.

“That’s what makes me happy, that I’m eating more healthy.

5.

Use a scale.

If you’re doing more weight training and doing more exercise, then you can’t be worrying so much about how much weight youre lifting.”

Have fun.

“You can do it without any restrictions.

Ive got to do cardio with friends every day, so I can still go out and do my workout.

I just enjoy it.

Youre like, I can’t wait to get out of here.

It’s like the magic.”

7.

Eat in moderation.

People who are trying to lose weight need to be careful not to overeat, says Kaitlyn, a 25-year older bodybuilder who started out with low-carb diets.

“Eat at least two to three meals a day, or maybe even three.

I do like to have a lot in the house, so you dont want to have any junk food,” she says.

“But I do feel like I have a really good diet, and that’s what I like to call moderation.

8. Exercise.

“So youre really not going to see that weight loss, you’re just not going as far.” “

In my experience, if your cardio gets really high, it just slows down your metabolism,” says Sara, a 29-year fitness instructor who started with a very low-calorie diet.

“So youre really not going to see that weight loss, you’re just not going as far.”

9.

Drink more water.

“It’s hard to be super thirsty all the time, but if you have a glass of water with a snack or two or something youre pretty thirsty,” says Hannah, a professional fitness trainer who started weight lifting when she was just 17 years old.
