“I think a lot of people are scared to talk about it because they’re afraid of getting diagnosed, but I know there’s a lot that we can do,” said Dr. James B. O’Brien, a pediatric endocrinologist and an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville.
“A lot of these guys I see who have it are in very good shape, but they’re still struggling with a lot.”
O’Brien said he thinks the best way to prevent muscular degeneration is to not only protect the body, but also the mind.
“It’s a combination of everything: lifestyle, exercise, genetics, diet, sleep, diet and exercise, and you have to be a good doctor,” he said.
“You have to have good lifestyle and exercise habits.”
But not everyone is ready to tackle the problem.
“I think the thing people don’t understand is that there’s always a chance that you could be developing this muscle disease,” said O’Connor, a professor of neurology at the Yale School of Medicine.
Bryan Wray, a registered nurse and orthopedic surgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said he believes that the best course of action is to get physical therapy, but that he is concerned that a lack of exercise might also be contributing to the development of the disease.””
If you’re a young person, or someone who’s in the early stages of a disease, and have a lot more muscle and the disease is not progressing to the point where it’s getting worse, then I think it’s really important to be cautious about what you’re doing.”
Bryan Wray, a registered nurse and orthopedic surgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said he believes that the best course of action is to get physical therapy, but that he is concerned that a lack of exercise might also be contributing to the development of the disease.
“There’s always the risk that if you don’t get enough physical activity, or get enough exercise at all, then it will get worse,” he told Business Insider.
“It’s not just muscle, but everything, so it’s a risk factor for all of us.”
“If you have muscle weakness, then there’s another way to deal with it.
That is to put on some resistance bands, or some weight training, or other types of activity, and then you can keep moving and be active,” Wray added.”
You can actually work on strengthening muscles that are weak, or strengthening muscles in the muscles that have already been damaged.”
Wray said that the first thing to do is get your muscles healthy.
“If they’re in a lot better condition than you are, then you need to try to work on the problem, to make sure that you’re getting enough rest, that you are getting enough fluids, that your body is not stressed and that you don.t have a history of muscle weakness,” he explained.
“In some cases, you can get into that position of needing to put a lot extra stress on your joints, to not be able to move your body at all.”
He added that if your doctor suspects that you have the disease, he can prescribe some painkillers, which can help prevent the disease from progressing.
Wray noted that if the disease does progress to the level of paralysis, then the treatment might include some of the same exercises as for a muscle disorder.
“They’re basically doing a lot in one exercise,” he added.
“They’re just taking it out of the equation.”
While there is no cure for muscular degenerations, the symptoms can be managed.
“The best way for a patient to deal is to be proactive in their care,” said Wray.
“For the patient, that means taking a few things off their plates, and getting their body and mind working.”
The good news is that most people with muscular degenerative disease do not need to take drastic measures, as the disease tends to subside within a few years.
However, some people with the condition may need more intensive treatment to get rid of the problem completely.
For now, the best treatment option for the condition is to avoid exercising, eating, and taking any medications that could be causing muscle weakness.
